Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of PixelRates and everything on it: the price tables, seller pages, PixelScores, ban-risk data, guides, and blog. By visiting or using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.

We keep this document deliberately short and readable. It is not designed to trap you in fine print; it is designed to set out clearly what PixelRates is, what it is not, and where the responsibility for a purchase sits. This version was last updated on 15 July 2026. When we change it we will update that date and, where the change is significant, note it on the page.

What PixelRates is

PixelRates is operated by Magcore Technologies Inc., a company incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada (in these Terms, "PixelRates", "we", or "us"). PixelRates is an information and price-comparison service. We collect the live prices that in-game-currency sellers advertise on their own storefronts, work out the true all-in cost once payment-method fees, currency (FX) markups, and surcharges are added and any working coupon is subtracted, and present the results so you can compare sellers side by side. Two points matter more than any other in these Terms:

• We do not sell in-game currency. PixelRates holds no gold, currency, skins, or other in-game items and never delivers any to you.
• We do not process payments and we are not a party to your transaction. When you decide to buy, you leave PixelRates and deal directly with a third-party seller. The contract, the payment, and the delivery are all strictly between you and that seller. We are not a broker, agent, escrow, or guarantor for either side.

Because we independently source every price by reading sellers' public storefronts ourselves (sellers cannot submit their own numbers to us), the figures you see are our good-faith reading of the market, not a quote or an offer that binds anyone.

Accuracy and no warranty

Prices, fees, PixelScores, ban-risk scores, and coupon codes are collected in good faith and updated as often as we can, but the in-game-currency market moves fast. A price can change, a coupon can expire, and a seller can alter its checkout between the moment we record something and the moment you act on it. Always confirm the final figure on the seller's own site before you pay.

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of anything on PixelRates, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our disclaimer expands on the limits of what we can and cannot stand behind.

Acceptable use

You may use PixelRates for your own personal, non-commercial research. When you use the site, you agree not to:

• scrape, harvest, or systematically copy our data to build or feed a competing product;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• submit false ban reports, fake reviews, or other data intended to manipulate a seller's PixelScore or ban-risk score;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.

Our integrity data only works if the inputs are honest, so we take deliberate manipulation seriously and may remove access without notice.

Intellectual property

The PixelRates name, layout, written guides, blog posts, and the compiled datasets we produce (including our all-in price calculations, PixelScores, and ban-risk scores) are ours or our licensors'. You may quote or link to short extracts with clear attribution and a link back to the relevant page. You may not republish substantial portions, or reproduce our compiled data as a dataset, without written permission. Seller names, logos, and game titles referred to on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify what we are describing.

Third-party links and sellers

PixelRates links out to independent sellers so you can complete a purchase with them. We do not control those sellers and we are not responsible for their conduct: their pricing, checkout, delivery times, refund handling, customer service, or the security of any account or payment details you give them. A listing on PixelRates is a comparison data point, not an endorsement or a recommendation to buy.

Our PixelScore and ban-risk features exist precisely because seller quality varies, and they aggregate reviews from across the web alongside our own first-party verified-buyer reviews and buyer-submitted ban reports. They are useful signals, but they are estimates based on imperfect information, not guarantees about how any transaction will go. Do your own checks before you pay a stranger for anything.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PixelRates and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, data, or in-game property, arising out of or connected with your use of the site or any purchase you make from a third-party seller after using it. This includes losses from out-of-date prices, an expired coupon, a bad seller experience, a chargeback, or an account penalty. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the minimum the law permits. Because we take no payment from you, you agree that our total liability to you is capped at zero.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PixelRates and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with any third-party seller.

Not affiliated with any game publisher

PixelRates is an independent site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex, Blizzard, Square Enix, Valve, or any other game publisher. All game names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and appear here only to describe the currency and markets we cover.

Buying in-game currency is at your own risk

Buying, selling, or trading in-game currency may breach the terms of service of the game you play, and can carry a real risk of account penalties up to and including a ban. We report on this openly (that is what our ban-risk data is for), but we cannot and do not promise that you will avoid action on your account. Any decision to buy is entirely yours and entirely at your own risk. Read the relevant game's rules and decide for yourself.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as PixelRates grows and as we add new games and features. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms, so it is worth checking back occasionally.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute relating to them or to your use of PixelRates will be subject to the courts of Ontario, Canada.
